A Trip to the Aquarium

Welcome to the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre, located in downtown Vancouver, in the heart of Stanley Park! The Vancouver Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Canada and houses over 60,000 creatures. That’s amazing! This organization is self-supporting and non-profit, devoted to promoting conservation, research and education of aquatic life.

Well what are you waiting for? Follow the Flower of Delirium on its first adventure!

The Flower of Delirium is posing with a statue of a killer whale made by Haida artist, Bill Reid, located at the front entrance of the aquarium.

Here I am with a huge purple sea urchin! These urchins are found all over the coast of British Columbia. Some people eat the gonads of sea urchins--eww!!

The aquarium has a lot of exhibits that showcases aquatic animals you would find native to BC. The Flower of Delirium is spreading some of its happiness pollen to the fish!

Hi fish!!

Look! A baby giant pacific octopus! After the Flower of Delirium shakes some of its pollen onto the octopus, it's sure to turn just as pink with happiness as the Flower itself!

Ooo, a sunflower star! They have over 15,000 tube-feet and can have over 20 legs! It looks a lot like me, don't you think?

The Flower of Delirium has made it to the Artic Gallery! Here's a beluga whale. Wait, come back!

Doesn't the beluga whale look like its smiling? That's because the Flower of Delirium shook some of its pollen on it!

Well that's it for now! The aquarium is currently under renovations so there will be a lot more to see in the future. Learn more about the Vancouver Aquarium at their website www.vanaqua.org
